How to research your competition online
There is no doubt that times are tough. During these times you should be looking to add some additional revenue streams into your business. For example you can add a new service or string of services to what you’re already doing. Or you can add more products to your existing line or even all new lines of products.
First I would think about what keywords your competition may be using them type them in one at a time on Google to see how many pages are competing for that term. Go to the pages and try to see if any other keywords stick out at you and write them down.
Next you need to see who is paying for ads on Google for those keywords. The little classified ads on the right side of Google pages. Copy those urls and go to those landing pages and see what they are doing try to spot how they are making money. Join a mailing list and see what they send you. You have to try to see how they are turning a profit. The most important trick is to track this and see who is paying for ads consistently.
Think to yourself if they can pay for these ads all the time they must be turning a profit and by dissecting the marketing campaigns they have you can find out what they are doing. Then you can simply copy what they are doing and improve on it over time.
This means you must track every change they make to every sales page and see if they make any changes to the emails they send you or anything they send to you in the mail. If they send anything to you in the regular mail you can go to your local library and check the srds directories and see if they have mailing lists for rent if they do you will be surprised what info they give out.
Good luck and I hope these basics can help you on your journey to success. When you have some money you can purchase some amazing software to help you reverse engineer every aspect of your competitions marketing online.
